Sleepy Hollow (again):The Fall:Halloween (again):It was the 6th annual X Avant Experimental Music festival at the Music Gallery in Toronto last weekend, and I had the pleasure of seeing Contact perform one of my favourite pieces by Michael Gordon, the mind blowing (and numbing) Trance: I also saw the Canadian premiere of Gordon's new percussion piece, Timber, performed entirely on 6 2x4 pieces of wood: Gordon recently had the nerve to rewrite Beethoven's 7th symphony!
