For the next two months while I'm producing Stress Position, I'll be blogging exclusively about the process of making the film over on The Siblings blog. I just won't be able to think about anything else, so please follow along over there:

We are thrilled to announce that we are going into production on our first feature film, under the working title Stress Position:
A psychological experiment between two friends spirals out of control. This is a micro-budget concept I've been writing on the side while we've been developing our bigger project Wisteria, but the opportunity to shoot Stress Position came up first so we are switching gears and going to camera in April in Vancouver. While my blogging has been a bit sporadic over here, we've been blogging up a storm about both films over on The Siblings Tumblr, check it out for project updates, concept art, references and more. Calvin Thomas & Yonah Lewis, the talented team behind Amy George, one of the more inspiring feature debuts at TIFF last year, are raising funds on Kickstarter for a new micro-budget feature that's shooting this March. They have already proven that they can make quality work with limited means in a tight time frame, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this new feature, Condition of the Heart, at TIFF this fall. Great project to support, even if you can spare just a few dollars! Ask your money how it feels about going to live with them. And the premise sounds fascinating and original: "Diagnosed with a life-altering disease, a middle-aged woman moves to a remote cottage and falls in love with a creature from the lake." ![]() Producers Amy Belling and Jessica Cheung recently completed the Canadian Film Centre's Go West Lab in Whistler, BC with our feature script Wisteria. Amy described the lab as an "Incredible experience! The caliber of the guests, and the one-on-one time we received with each guest exceeded my expectations." Other participants included Tony Wosk, E Jane Thompson, Cher Hawrysh and Corey Marr. ![]() "Six producers from across Canada have been selected to participate in the fifth annual CFC GO WEST Project Lab. Presented by the Whistler Film Festival in association with Telefilm Canada, the CFC GO WEST Project Lab is an intense five day business and marketplace immersion experience held in Whistler June 26 to 30th, 2011." |
