Calvin Thomas & Yonah Lewis, the talented team behind Amy George, one of the more inspiring feature debuts at TIFF last year, are raising funds on Kickstarter for a new micro-budget feature that's shooting this March. They have already proven that they can make quality work with limited means in a tight time frame, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this new feature, Condition of the Heart, at TIFF this fall. Great project to support, even if you can spare just a few dollars! Ask your money how it feels about going to live with them. And the premise sounds fascinating and original: "Diagnosed with a life-altering disease, a middle-aged woman moves to a remote cottage and falls in love with a creature from the lake." ![]() A.J. will be interviewed on CBC's Here and Now Toronto today at 5:45 pm, along with his co-writing/co-eating team from The Kimchi Diaries. Tune in to find out what the CBC could possibly care to know about our one-hit tumblr! UPDATE: You can listen to the complete interview here. ![]() The Kimchi Diaries is featured in Toronto Life this week: "We’ve seen our share of “ate my way through ____” blogs, but The Kimchi Diaries has a quiet humour that makes us think it’ll be worth the trip." Let Marty take you on a 2-hour tour of film history from his perspective:
I'm joining two friends on a culinary adventure over the next year, systematically trying every restaurant in my neighbourhood, Koreatown. Follow along on our blog! K-Town seems to have given itself a modest 3 out of 5 stars as a neighbourhood this year!
